In 1902 Samuel Kravet, a tailor from Russia, arrives in the United States and starts tailoring for New York City’s wealthy community.
In 1918 S.Kravet & Sons is founded with Samuel Kravet’s four sons — Morris, Sam, Sol and Hy — selling fabric and trimmings to the interior design trade.
In 1995 Kravet acquires Lee Jofa, a high end fabric brand with a rich heritage dating back to1823 founded by Arthur H. Lee. Groundworks, GP&J Baker and Mulberry Home are distributed brands under the Lee Jofa offering.
In 2018 Kravet Inc. celebrates its 100th year anniversary in business with exciting new offerings, advanced technology and a firm commitment to being the primary resource for fabrics and furnishings to the interior design trade.
